The City’s Largest Dinner Party Returns to Charlotte

Charlotte, NC | May 1, 2023 – Le Diner en Blanc – Charlotte returns! This elegant and secret soirée has become THE social gathering of the year! On Saturday, September 30, 2023, guests are awaited to dine and dance under the stars at a new secret location.  

To get the opportunity to be part of the experience, first-time wait listers can sign up now by visiting register.dinerenblanc.com/charlotte/en/register and clicking Register. Then, enter your email in the validation box, and click Validate. Note if you registered in previous years, you can skip this step.  

Le Diner en Blanc is an event that transports us into another world. The sea of ​​people adorned in white creates instant ‘Instagram-able’ images. Meeting new people or reuniting with longtime friends. Getting all dressed up to attend a dinner à la française where conversation and champagne are essential. 

Tara Robertson, host of Le Diner en Blanc in Charlotte, is glad that Le Diner en Blanc is returning to the city: "Five years ago, I bought this concept to Charlotte to unify the city," said Robertson. "This event has grown to more than 23,000 on our waitlist. This year, we are limited to the number of guests we're allowed to participate, so we strongly encourage you to register early. " 

To maintain the uniqueness of Le Diner en Blanc, every guest has a part to play and observes certain requirements such as:  

• Dress code: head-to-toe in white only. Elegance and originality are key!  

• Table setting: all white! You can add a pop of color with flowers.  

• To ensure the location secret is kept undisclosed until the last minute, guests meet at the assigned departure location and are escorted by a Diner en Blanc volunteer. 

• So, the event location is left as clean as when guests arrived. They are required to leave with all their belongings, leftovers, and litter.

Guests are to bring: 

• A table, two white chairs, white tablecloth. 

• A picnic basket comprising fine food and proper stemware, and white dinnerware.  

• A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on-site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own. Guests wishing to do so must reserve their food through our e-store. 

• French-influenced event only wine and/or Champagne are served. 

• As per North Carolina state alcohol laws, guests cannot bring their alcohol. Guests wishing to enjoy wine or Champagne, must reserve online through Le Diner en Blanc’s e-store. However, guests are welcome to bring their non-alcoholic beverages.
